Camping
Please Note: No disposable BBQs are allowed. All cooking to be at least 18 inches/50 cm off the ground, and must not be left unattended, and please ensure you have a bucket of water nearby just in case. Ensure any flames are fully extinguished and any hot items are cool before disposal or placing on the ground. If not self-catering there are plenty of establishments throughout the town that serve wonderful food
The festival campsite will be based at Airy Hill School, Waterstead Lane, Whitby, YO21 1PZ. Unfortunately pets are not allowed.
The campsite is primarily for week long ticket holders. Space permitting, holders of two or more consecutive day tickets may be able to camp but these spaces will not go on sale until August; please email tickets@whitbyfolk.co.uk for information about availability.
The campsite will be open from 2pm on Friday 21st August 2026 and must be cleared by 12noon at the latest on Saturday 29th August 2026.
No vehicle movement on site after set up, other than official event vehicles which use a specific car park area.
Please Note: Spaces for Caravans, Campervans and Motorhomes are now sold out for 2026 and tent spaces are limited. If we reach capacity these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Board and Lodgings
Although the Whitby Folk Week office can deal with most of your queries regarding the Festival, including details of our own temporary campsite, if you require accommodation in Bed & Breakfast, Hotels, Pubs or Self Catering you will need to book in advance; please visit either All About Whitby or www.discoveryorkshirecoast.com
