Whitby - a traditional place with a traditional festival that has become a tradition itself

Camping

Festival Campsites

Ticket Holders

We provide a temporary campsite for Season Ticket Holders. It is on a school playing field and has water, toilets and showers.

For prices please see the booking form

As the site is at a school in a residential area we have to obey rules laid down by the school and the school governors in order to be able to use it.

The school does not allow vehicle movement on or off the site between 10pm and 8am.

The site will not be open until 3.30pm at the earliest on the Friday before the festival and must be vacated by 2.00pm on the Saturday after the festival.

To find the site please see the Google Map of the site entrance.

Any queries, please send an email to:

Stewards & Dance Sides

There is a separate campsite for stewards and dance teams. This is at the Rugby club and must be vacated by 11.00am on the Saturday after the festival.

Festival-Goers Without Season Tickets

Accommodation is scarce during Folk week. Finding somewhere that will take a tent is not easy (Caravans are easier).

Moor & Coast, who provided a temporary site at the Community College for the last few years will be doing so again this year. You will need to book early as spaces are limited.
