Whitby - a traditional place with a traditional festival that has become a tradition itself

Whitby Folk Week 16 – 22 August 2008

A Season ticket gives you entry to all Folk Week events – providing there is room in the venue when you arrive. There will always be some 'House Full' signs and the only answer is to get there early.

Some events are restricted to Season/Day ticket-holders (marked in the programme). At all others you can pay at the door.

If you don't have a season ticket but want to go to several events in one day, it will almost always work out a lot cheaper (and easier) to buy a Day ticket that will get you into all events that day (providing there's room, of course).

Although Season and Day tickets can be purchased at any time, we do not sell individual event tickets in advance. These may be bought at the door of events after Season Ticket-holders have been admitted, usually in good time for the start, but we may ask you to wait a few minutes at some of the more popular events.

New for 2008 – Student tickets available

Students can now purchase their ticket at the reduced rate. A valid Student Union Card must be produced when collecting tickets.

Reduced price tickets are available to Seniors (of State Pensionable age) and Students, who must be in possession of a current Students' Union card. Junior rate applies to 11-16 year olds (under 11s admitted free with ticket holders at most general events but must pay a nominal charge at children's events).

The campsite should be open from 3.30pm on Friday 15th August 2008 but we cannot guarantee this. We hope you'll be patient if there is any delay. It will not be open before this time, so please plan accordingly.
